We provide the opportunity to compare your own performance on specific skills to the performance of others of your age, gender and education level to give you a sense of where you need to work harder and where you can just glide through. We all need to do both.

Personalized Coaching Sessions

We all tend to gravitate toward situations where we can excel. It feels comfortable and positive to succeed quickly and easily. We often feel Virtual Coach productive and efficient when we complete a task and know we’ve done it well. We know that learning new skills and working on thinking strategies that challenge us can increase our overall brain health and fitness. Exercising different skills, or combinations of skills, can create new connections in the brain and enhance one’s cognitive reserve.

That is why, in the Balanced Approach, we will suggest a variety of games that will exercise your brain on a spectrum of critical thinking skills, including memory, attention, reasoning, logic, concentration, language, visual and spatial skills. HAPPYneuron takes account of your past performance and your cognitive strengths and weaknesses. You are likely to find some games difficult and others quite easy as the options and skill sets are balanced. You will be guided through the series of selected exercises in sequence.

Alternatively, you can select from one of the other eight different training program options yourself, indicating how much time you have available. These are:

  • Work My Weaknesses: Present a program to exercise my weakest cognitive areas;
  • Least Played: Present exercises that I haven’t played very much for new variety;
  • Oldest Games: Present exercises that I haven’t done in a long time;
  • Memory Challenge: Help me hone my memory skills;
  • Attention Challenge: Help me sharpen my attention skills;
  • Language Challenge: I wish to brush up on my language abilities;
  • Executive Function Challenge: I want to work on my problem solving abilities;
  • Visual-Spatial Challenge: I’d like to sharpen my awareness of my surroundings.

On the other hand, on some days you may just need to feel good so you can also elect to override our advice and keep playing those games that lead you to quick success.

HAPPYneuron Adapts as You Improve

Simple Variants The way to improve is to continually challenge yourself. As you develop your abilities, HAPPYneuron will automatically adapt to your progress and present ever increasing challenges. It is satisfying to succeed quickly and effortlessly, but the key to creating new neural pathways and keeping your mind sharp is to challenge yourself and “push the envelope”. You’ll see our recommendations highlighted by a yellow star as you start each new game. The yellow star designates the level of challenge we believe you are capable of, based on our scientific analysis of your past performance.

Of course, some days you may want to return to a familiar exercise and so you can always elect to override our advice and select an easier level that will lead you to quick success. You always have that option.
