Memory - Displaced Characters

Description Results Happy'Z

Brain Area Working

Cognitive Function Exercised
Left Right L R

How To Play

Memorize characters in a list, then find out which ones have been replaced in a second list.

Cognitive Function Exercised

The right temporal lobe is the main brain area that is stimulated with this exercise. It helps strengthen visual memory, spatial memory and visual concentration. Visual memory is a part of memory that maintains some aspects of the senses involved with visual experiences. We are able to place in memory the information that resembles objects, symbols, places, animals or people in sort of a mental image. This exercise requires speed, a good visual analysis of characters, and attention to detail.

Benefits to Daily Life

Memory is needed everywhere in your daily life. Memory is constantly called upon in varied ways such as to remember a pin code, a phone number, the title of a movie, an appointment, where you put your keys, or a historical event. It also plays a crucial part in all cognitive activities such as reading, reasoning, mental calculations and the creation of mental pictures. It is constantly required, voluntarily or not. A good memory is essential for a healthy and vibrant life.
